Dear friends and donors, by the end of January the “Piccola Opera” received a letter of thanksgiving from the Association “Famille Anuarite” (http://www.familleanuarite.fr/) for the humanitarian aids container that has been sent for the Holy Christmas 2014 to the Orphanage “Padre Pino Puglisi” in Pointe Noire (Republic of Congo).
The words used by Mrs Giselle Mantot ( the President of the Famille Anuarite) and by Father Aimé Mobwete fill our hearts with commotion and makes us want to do even more for these less fortunate little brothers and sisters of ours. Nevertheless, they speak about how “it is impossible to describe the joy and the excitation that animated the hearts not only of the children but also, and perhaps even more, those of us adults, during the opening [of the container] and looking at all the goodness in it”!…
Here follows a copy of the letter that we have received and the translation in english:
To the President and the members of the Association
Piccola Opera don Giovanni Paganizza – ROME
OBJECT: Container Christmas 2014
Dearest President and brothers,
As you already know, on January the 7 the container you have sent has arrived to the Orphanage “Padre Pino Puglisi”, our Orphanage. By “ours” we mean of the Famille Anuarite and of the Piccola Opera, because we may have constructed and may manage it but is equally true that it is thanks to your most precious help that we manage to go ahead.
It is impossible to describe the joy and the excitation that animated the hearts not only of the children but also, and perhaps even more, those of us adults, during the opening and looking at all the goodness in it.
Thank you, thank you for the oven of which we will send pictures as soon as it will be assembled, thank you for every single donation within the container, but most of all thank you for the love that you are showing us through this and many more initiatives.
A special thank you from Father Aimé and his parish to Franca and all of her collaborators for the beautiful tablecloth made for the altar of the new Church.
What else to say if not again thank you, thank you, thank you?
God bless every single one of you and all those who somehow have helped to keep your and our work alive.
The President and Vice-president
Mme Giselle Mantot and Father Aimé Mobwete
Pointe-Noire, January 31 2015.
A video, published of course also on the Youtube channel of “Piccola Opera” (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWLBlWaj9runnEVeB5AWRgA), helps give us a better understanding of what the arriving of these aids means to them; that, unfortunately… , goes further beyond what we can imagine…:
Thank you all!
